ACS Public Policies
The incidental take of thousand of marine mammals and the incidental take of thousands of birds in connection with the high seas driftnet and other large-scale pelagic commercial fisheries are a threat to the world's oceanic ecosystems. ACS supports the efforts underway to bring this issue to public attention and also encourage the ongoing private sector and governmental initiatives to mitigate the short and long term effects of this wasteful fishing technique. |
